A private-label IEM project works best when the buyer separates platform selection from customization. First choose the model and driver direction. Then confirm appearance, cable, packaging, sound target and compliance requirements in one controlled brief.

Quick answer: JRT Audio offers nine current HiFi IEM platforms. Depending on the selected model, OEM options can include logo, color, finish, detachable cable, plug, microphone, Type-C direction, accessories, packaging and acoustic tuning.

1. Start with the correct IEM platform

The housing structure, driver architecture and connector layout set the technical boundaries of the project. Review SP-800, SP-801, SP-802, SP-803, SP-805, SP-806, SP-808, SP-202 and SP-122-M before requesting artwork or packaging samples.

Use the current HiFi IEM product line to shortlist models that match the target market and sound direction.

2. Logo, color and surface finish

Provide vector artwork and specify the intended logo position, size and color. The suitable marking process depends on the housing material and finish. Color references should use a defined standard or an approved physical reference rather than a screen image alone.

3. Cable, connector and Type-C options

Selected platforms support detachable 0.78 mm 2-pin cable directions. Buyers should confirm cable material, braid, length, plug, microphone and control requirements. Type-C is a project option that must be checked against the chosen IEM, device compatibility and digital audio configuration.

CableMaterial, braid, color and lengthFlexibility, microphonics and appearance
Plug3.5 mm or project-specific directionDevice compatibility

4. Packaging and accessories

Define the sales channel before designing the box. Distributor, specialist HiFi retail and e-commerce programs may need different presentation and labeling. Confirm the outer box, insert, ear tips, cable case, manual, warranty card, barcode and shipping marks.

Final packaging artwork should be approved together with the product sample so model names, colors and included accessories remain consistent.

5. Acoustic tuning and reference targets

Describe the intended customer and use case, then provide a reference sound signature or benchmark product. Avoid broad terms such as “best bass” without a listening target. Tuning work should be evaluated with the selected ear tips and cable because the complete acoustic system affects the result.

6. Sample approval workflow

  1. Confirm model and driver direction
  2. Submit logo, color, cable and packaging requirements
  3. Confirm target sound and reference
  4. Review appearance and functional sample
  5. Record revisions in one approval list
  6. Approve the golden sample before mass production

A typical customized sample cycle is about 15 days after the complete brief and required materials are confirmed. Review the OEM price, MOQ and sample planning guide before sending the RFQ.
